Who is Ajka Rovcanin?
Ajka Rovčanin leverages her extensive experience across the non-governmental, governmental, and academic sectors to excel in her role as the Executive Director of the Institute for Youth Development KULT, where she leads programs, projects, and staff with great effectiveness.
After completing her studies in economics and gaining experience with various non-governmental projects, she briefly served as an economic advisor for a government institution. She then transitioned to an academic role as an assistant at the Faculty of Economics, where she gained valuable insights into the challenges and social issues faced by young people entering the labor market. These experiences have been instrumental in her current role, where she leads economic projects, programs, and initiatives. as the Executive Director of the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
Guided by the principle of equal rights, KULT advocates for positive changes in society by strategically collaborating with government institutions to promote social inclusion. The Institute itself follows the vision of "an open society where empowered citizens participate in all decision-making processes in public life," emphasizes Ms. Rovčanin, highlighting that with the recognized mission and role of the Institute, this organization enjoys great trust across all sectors of society. It's mission is "to develop and advocate for legal and other strategic solutions, and to build and strengthen the capacities of associations and authorities in BiH and the region, for a successful and sustainable youth policy." The great success of the Institute is brought by its employees at all levels, who passionately and dedicatedly initiate and implement changes in Bosnian society over the past two decades.
